Over the past few years, we have tweaked our product lines to include chocolate covered fruits and cookies, fresh fruit and vegetable platters and other speciality platters and gift boxes! We have also expended into Corporate Gifting and have served a variety of business clients during peak seasonal time periods with our fresh and quality gifts.
The Santora Family Story
Fruit Fresh Up is a fresh fruit and vegetable processing company that was founded in 1986 by Ronald J. Santora. Mr. Santora is president and chief executive officer of the company.
The company was originally started in the State of Rhode Island where Mr. Santora developed fresh fruit cup sales in his local area. Santora, originally from Buffalo, decided that he could take his operation back to Western New York and expand his business. In 1988 Fruit Fresh Up moved from Rhode Island to Brinkman Avenue in Buffalo. Further growth necessitated a second move in 1990 to the Niagara Frontier Food Terminal on Clinton Street in Buffalo.
In 1996 Fruit Fresh Up purchased and moved into a 6000 square foot facility, with room for expansion, on Scoville Avenue. In 2001 the company added a 1600 square foot outdoor cooler at the Scoville Avenue site to accommodate growth. The cooler addition enabled Fruit Fresh Up to expand its customer base and product lines, thereby creating approximately 20 new jobs. In 2003 the company completed its most aggressive expansion to the facility by adding a 2,720 square foot free standing outdoor cooler and a 3,500 square foot warehouse/office building at its current location. This expansion created approximately 20 more jobs and enabled Fruit Fresh Up to meet growing customer needs. In 2010, the company relocated to a 24,000 square foot facility on Walden Ave. in Depew, NY. The relocation to Depew, NY was done in part to accommodate a new restaurant of his, SANTORA’S PIZZA & CATERING. This family owned restaurant serves predominantly Italian American food.

We recognize constant consumer changes are we are always willing to customize our products to fit our customer’s needs.
